Fees

UNW Health Services is funded in part by a health services fee. Health Services staff work hard to provide you with quality health care without any additional cost. However, certain immunizations and prescription medications require us to bill your student account. Students will be advised of the cost before they are billed.

Students are financially responsible for all off-campus laboratory testing, x-rays, etc., and any care rendered at an off-campus medical facility.

Physician Assistant Appointments

A physician assistant is available by appointment Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.. A physician assistant is a provider who can write prescriptions, order lab or x-ray, or guide you to the right medical facility, if needed. Please call the front desk at 651-631-5246 to schedule an appointment or to ask about availability.

Physician Appointments

A physician is available by appointment every Monday, whenever classes are in session, from 1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Registered Nurse Visits

A registered nurse is available Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While it is preferred that you schedule an appointment (call 651-631-5246), we do see walk-ins. Walk-ins are served on a first-come, first-served basis. Of course, urgent medical needs are given priority.

Local Resources

In the event that a student should need medical care at a time when Northwestern Health Services is not open, there are many pharmacies, urgent care facilities and hospitals nearby. Please see the listing of local resources frequently used.
